Power Flow

Get moving. Expect to sweat. Power Flow is intended to develop strength and focus through upbeat flowing movement, rigorous poses, and breath control. Arm balances and inversions are included.

Get more benefit in less time by drawing inward to seek, and find, your inner strength! Break the habit of moving only from the outer body and loading layers of tension onto yourself. You will discover how to use your Deep Core Lines along the skeleton to make all of your poses more possible as you keep your body healthy for years of yoga to come.

Wednesdays at 9:00-10:15am at The Glowing Body.

Ropes Wall Yoga

ropes_wallThe ropes wall is a unique feature of The Glowing Body Yoga studio. Explore the potential for increased movement, and realize muscular imbalances, as the leverage and traction the ropes provide help you maintain proper form. Beginners to advanced students will find benefit, but this class is not recommended for absolute yoga beginners. Class is limited to 12 students.

You’ll definitely get a good workout, but more importantly, you will become more connected and comfortable in your own body.

Mondays at 9:30-11:00am, Wednesdays at 10:45-11:45am and Thursdays at 5:15 – 6:15pm The Glowing Body.

Yinyasa ClassThe first part of this class uses Yin Yoga to create space and integrity in both our joints and our minds. The latter portion of the class includes flowing repetition of movements which develop strength and balance, and breath work to facilitate heat generation and deep internal awareness. Moderately challenging.

Practicing in this way does amazing things for your back! It’s my favorite way to practice, by far. Each class will consist of about 30 minutes of Yin Yoga and 1 hour Yang Yoga with Shavasana (relaxation) at the end of class.

Saturdays at 9:00-10:30am at The Glowing Body.

Yin Yoga

yin_classYin postures focus on the hips, pelvis, lower back, and knees, helping the body to remain supple at its core. Yin postures are primarily on the floor and held with little to no muscular effort for 2 to 5 minutes each. Since Yin Yoga postures gently stretch and rehabilitate the connective tissues that support our joints, it is the perfect compliment to more rigorous activity (power yoga, running, weight training, etc.)

Mondays at 6:30-7:45pm at So Kno Yoga (my home studio).

Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm at The Glowing Body.

  1. The Core Strength Vinyasa class is easily the most uniquely instructive and insightful yoga class I’ve taken in many years. I feel the potential to really grow in my practice there in ways not necessarily found in other classes
